Kanafeh “The sweet Arabian Delicacy”

Journey is in its Penultimate Days and what best then to end it on sweet note , after having tasted some traditional arabic dishes like mandi and lebanese Bakhlawa, i came across Kanafeh ,while theres an ambiguity on the origin of dish its popular in Turkey ,lebanon, egypt  etc.

The preparation :

The pastry is heated in butter, then spread with soft white cheese/cream, A thick syrup of sugar, water, and a few drops of rose water  is poured on the pastry during the final minutes of cooking. Often the top layer of pastry is tinted with orange food coloring. Crushed pistachios are sprinkled on top as a garnish.

Kanafeh Tastes Splendid and fingerlicking delicious it has that rich feel to it you sense when you take first bite ,fragrance,the sweetness all well balanced you wonder howfast this thing dissapear leaving you hungry for more.it melts i your mouth

The kanafeh comes in three different forms and look forward to try all three , kanafeh is thus a simple example of how sometimes simple and neat work does the job ,
